Insight breast cancer

Insight Breast Cancer Organization, Inc. is a Not-for-Profit 501c3 company established in 2007 after the founder completed her own cancer journey.

According to the report “Improving Quality and Reducing Disparities in Breast Cancer Mortality in Metropolitan Chicago” published in October 2007, a great number of women suffering from breast cancer in Chicago alone yielded the highest mortality rates due to transportation and childcare barriers.

The mission of Insight Breast Cancer Organization is to empower individuals and diminish barriers that impair access to care by providing transportation, grocery or other assistance for those actively undergoing cancer treatment.

Can you imagine…

I never imagined I would be on the breast cancer journey, While the news was devastating to hear, I was provided a good prognosis and a treatment plan that included chemotherapy and radiation. I chose to do everything required so I could survive! I was NOT going down without a fight!

The nights before chemotherapy were sure reminders that I had breast cancer. Preparing my mind and thoughts in anticipation of sitting in the treatment room for at least 3 hours left me with mixed feelings and a bit anxious.

Can you imagine having to prepare for all of this without having a reliable way to get to treatment?

I was able to greatly benefit from the services provided by Insight. They were able to provide some support with childcare on the days I returned home late for treatment. The organization suggested I ask physicians at my location to work with my schedule for earlier treatment times to minimize this concern. It was such a relief that they were able to do this.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your very busy schedule to attend the launch event for lookingforcure.org. It was greatly beneficial for all of the attendees, patients and medical staff alike, to be able to chat with you and learn more about what valuable services your organization has to offer. I look forward to working with you in the future! Thank you again!

The patient we referred to you called to say that you provided her with a wealth of information, and she was so grateful to speak with you. I could hear the relief in her voice. You and your organization do a great job of connecting with cancer patients. She wanted me to let you know that!
